Just a few km away from Peraleda you can find the impressive castle of Belvis de Monroy, high upon a mighty rock which oversees all the Arañuelo plains. This castle was built in the Middle Ages on the site of an older Moorish fortress, and then rehabilitated into a palace during the Renaissance. At present it is closed to the public, but you can visit it from the outside. You can also visit the old village spreading at its feet. During your visit, don't forget to go into the local museum, where you will learn many interesting facts about the place.
